Our Approach
The Florida Haitian Baptist Fellowship operates as hub connecting Haitian Southern Baptist churches and Pastors throughout Florida to those abroad. As such, the FHBF partners with the Florida Baptist Convention and other Southern Baptist organizations, the churches and pastors in Florida and abroad to advance the Kingdom of God. The FHBF promotes the autonomy of every and all entities that it partners with while encouraging and promoting organizational team efforts.
Our Purpose
The purpose of the Florida Haitian Baptist Fellowship is to create a synergy hub among Haitian Southern Baptist churches and Pastors to better advance the Gospel and the works and ministries associated with it.
Our Core Values
Our values represent our core commitments. The FHBF adopts 5 core values:
Kingdom: The FHBF is a kingdom-minded entity which seeks to greater good and benefit of the Kingdom of God. As such, the FHBF always prioritizes the interest of the Kingdom over that of a local church.
Truth: The FHBF seeks to serve the Kingdom in Spirit and in Truth. As such all relationships and partnerships it develops to local churches, associations, fellowships, and other entities must operate on truth.
Partnership: Autonomy of local churches and associations is at the center of the Baptist life. The FHBF will always promote partnership as it believes that we are always better together and can accomplish more for the kingdom.
Local Fellowship: The local fellowships are by design, the spine which allows the FHBF to stand. As such, the local fellowships play a vital role in the FHBF and are valued as such.
Respect: Respect is the fabric of all of the FHBF’s operations. All partners and other entities independently of creed and race, are treated with the utmost respect.
Our Priorities
Our priorities constitute our areas of focus.
The FHBF works to strengthen existing local Fellowships and, in collaboration with churches and pastors, establish new Fellowships in new regions throughout the State of Florida. The Fellowship also seeks to initiate and develop relationships with network of Haitian Baptist churches in Northern America, Canada, the Bahamas and the Dominican republic.
While embracing other things, the FHBF has a limited scope. It focuses its resources on the areas of church growth and development, strengthening of regional fellowships as well as linking ministries among Haitian Baptist churches both regionally and internationally.
