Joel Lamour, D.Min


Joel Lamour
is the founding Pastor of Haitian Fellowship Church and the current President of the Haitian Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship of Broward. He is the current Vice President of Florida Haitian Baptist Fellowship. He is a graduate of Gateway Seminary of the Southern Baptist Convention and professor of Biblical Studies at Palm Beach Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Lamour is the author of “Going Global: Four Steps Toward Becoming an Intercultural Disciple.” He is enthusiastic about effective leadership and dynamic discipleship, recognizing the importance to help our Haitian churches develop a systematic approach while they are reaching the whole world for Christ.

Dr. Lamour has over 30 years’ experience in pastoral ministry. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science from Christian University of North Haiti, he has served as the Christian Education Pastor at Freres-Unis Church in Carrefour, Haiti, where he has developed specific programs and Bible studies for the church. In 1997 he moved to Florida with his family. In Florida, he has worked alongside Dr. Emmanuel Cesar at Emmaus Haitian Baptist Church and teamed up with Balzora Consulting Ministry in providing training materials to church leaders in the Haitian Community.

Dr. Lamour lives in West Palm Beach with his wife Josette and his daughter Merlineda.
